Until recently I must admit, I'd been pretty lonely. But then I realized I was just ready to be a mom. But everyone said, "Judy, you don't have a husband or a boyfriend." Or, "Judy, Last week you had to go to the hospital because of an accident with your blender. Are you sure this is wise?" And this one was my favorite: "Judy, what about the time you killed my ferret?"

Well, all those things might be true (who knew ferrets needed water? I thought they were amphibians), but I just know I can do this. I mean, everyone deserves to love and be loved, don't you think?

That's why I decided to adopt one of the many discarded baby girls in China. I hear they leave them in piles beside the recycling cans. Can you imagine?

My little dumpling arrived yesterday, and isn't she just GORGEOUS!?! We're going to be so happy together. Already, I feel such a bond.

That's why I decided to document my adventures in motherhood, for all the new parents out there who don't know what they're doing. It's hard, I'll admit. She seems to fight me at every turn. But we're going to make it. Check out my podcast and see!
